ONLINE DIRECTORY FOR ALTOONA HIGH GRADS BECOMES A REALITY!
Altoona High School graduates living all over the world can now stay connected electronically.
A broadcast e-mail was sent today to each graduate with a known address so registration for the AAHS Online Community could be successfully completed. Alumni can easily access the online community through the http://www.aasdfoundation.org gateway page.
Persons who register will be able to keep their mailing addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses current. This will make it easier for class reunion committees to inform them about upcoming events.
Alumni will be able to re-connect with classmates and other friends at the click of a mouse. All fees associated with this service were shared by the AAHS Alumni Association and the AASD Foundation.
Registered alumni will receive electronic updates about class reunions, special events like Alumni Band Day and gatherings of Altoona High grads living in different sections of the country. News about the high school and the Altoona community will also be transmitted.
Work is also beginning on the Alumni Association’s fourth print directory which will be released by Harris Connect in late 2007. All Altoona High graduates should receive a post card from Harris Connect later this month.
A toll-free telephone number will be provided so alumni can call to verify their data so they are accurately listed in the directory.
Questions about the directory projects can be directed to Tom Bradley, the Alumni Association executive director, at 946-8424 or tbradley@aasdcat.com.
